🎯 Eligibility Criteria & Qualification
📚 Educational Qualification (as on 31.08.2026 for final year students)
- Civil / Electrical / Mechanical / E&T / Industrial Engineering: BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in relevant branch with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- System: 1st Class BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Computer Science / IT or 1st Class Degree with MCA.
- Geology: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Geology/Applied Geology/Geophysics/Applied Geophysics with 60% marks.
- Rajbhasha (Hindi): MA in Hindi with 60% marks and Graduation with Hindi & English as main subjects with 50% marks.
- Company Secretary: Graduate with Associate/Fellow membership of ICSI.
- Final year/semester students whose results are expected by 31.08.2026 can apply; they must upload all previous marksheets.

💵 Pay Scale & Training Period
Selected candidates join as Management Trainee in E-1 Grade (Pay scale ₹60,000 – 1,80,000). During 1-year training, basic pay is ₹60,000 per month. After successful completion, confirmation as Officer (Discipline) in E-1 Grade.
Besides basic pay, allowances include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), perquisites under cafeteria approach, and Performance Related Pay (PRP).

Computer Based Test (CBT) Only – No Interview.
- Two papers of 100 marks each (3 hours combined).
- Paper I: General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General English.
- Paper II: Professional Knowledge (discipline related).
- Each paper 100 MCQs, 1 mark each, no negative marking.
- Qualifying marks in each paper: UR/EWS - 40, OBC - 35, SC/ST/PwD - 30.
- Merit list based on CBT marks. Tie-breaking for CS discipline: preference to candidates with experience in listed company.
Selected candidates undergo Document Verification (DV) & Initial Medical Examination (IME).

Registration and Application Steps as per CIL official instructions:
🔐 Step-I: Registration (Sign-Up)
- Visit the official registration link: CIL MT Registration Portal (active from 12 May 2026).
- Fill in your Personal Details, Contact Details, etc. correctly.
- Click “Generate OTP”. You will receive two separate OTPs – one on your registered mobile number and one on email.
- Enter both OTPs to verify your mobile number and email ID.
- Read the Declaration, tick “I Agree”, re-verify all details, and click “Submit”.
- After submission, you will receive an Application Sequence Number (User ID) and Password on your email and mobile. Keep these safe.
📝 Step-II: Filling Application Form & Fee Payment
- After registration, click “Go To Application” (top right corner) or re-login with your User ID and Password on the Login page.
- Fill in Personal Details, Additional Details, Communication Details, Qualification Details, etc.
- Upload Documents:
- Photograph: Recent passport size colour photo, light background, not older than 3 weeks. JPG/JPEG, 100KB – 200KB.
- Signature: Sign on white paper with black ink pen, scan only the signature area. JPG/JPEG, 80KB – 150KB.
- Certificates: PDF/JPG/JPEG, each file size between 100KB – 1000KB.
- Matriculation/DOB certificate
- All semester/trimester mark sheets of qualifying degree (merged single PDF)
- Final/Provisional degree certificate
- Caste certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST) in Central Govt. format (OBC certificate must be issued on/after 01.04.2026)
- EWS Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2025-26 (valid for 2026-27)
- Disability certificate (UDID card) for PwBD
- NOC from employer (if applicable)
- Experience certificate for CS discipline (if claiming preference)
- CGPA to percentage conversion certificate
- Scribe certificate (if availing scribe facility)
- Preview the entire application and verify all details. Edit if needed before final submission.
- Submit the application. You will be automatically redirected to SBI Payment Gateway to pay the application fee (₹1180 for General/OBC/EWS; SC/ST/PwBD/Departmental candidates exempted).
- After successful payment, the application form will be displayed. Print / save the final application form as PDF for your records. Do not send any hard copy to CIL.
⚠️ Important Notes:
- Apply for only one discipline. Multiple applications for the same post will lead to rejection; only the one with the higher Application Sequence Number will be considered.
- Information once submitted cannot be edited. Double-check all entries.
- Application fee is non-refundable.
