    • MBBS / BDS / BAMS / BHMS / BUMS
    • B.Sc. Nursing / B.Pharma
    • B.Sc. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or Life Science
  • WITH Post-Graduation in any one of:
    • Master of Public Health (MPH)
    • MD in Community Medicine / Preventive and Social Medicine
    • M.Sc. in Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Applied Statistics, Epidemiology
    • MBA in Healthcare Management

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in health systems strengthening, program planning, or field implementation of public health programs.
  • Advanced MS Excel: Pivot Tables, Lookups, Dashboarding (Mandatory)
  • Statistical Tools: Working knowledge of SPSS, STATA, or R (Preferred)
  • Expert MS PowerPoint: To create executive-level presentations for senior officials

📋 Key Responsibilities & Job Role

The Consultant will provide technical, managerial, and analytical support for effective implementation of the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) at the central level.

Technical Assistance & Programme Support:

  • Provide technical assistance to states/Urban Local Bodies for strengthening urban health systems under NUHM
  • Analyze existing strengths and gaps in NUHM implementation and collaborate with MoHFW and States/ULBs to refine strategies
  • Provide technical inputs on Urban Health components of State Programme Implementation Plans (PIPs)
  • Coordinate with relevant MoHFW/NHSRC divisions for integrated inputs on State PIPs

Monitoring, Review & Field Support:

  • Conduct periodic monitoring visits to states to review program progress and prepare visit reports
  • Undertake supportive supervision and concurrent monitoring initiatives with regular field visits
  • Follow up on recommendations from monitoring visits

Capacity Building & Coordination:

  • Support capacity-building activities for NUHM personnel at national, state, and city levels
  • Develop structured Capacity-Building Framework to strengthen NUHM interventions
  • Strengthen collaboration mechanisms to improve NUHM implementation at state and city levels

Documentation & Knowledge Management:
