Important Notes

Reservations & Relaxations
Reservations are provided for SC, ST, OBC (Non‑Creamy Layer), EWS, PwBD, and Ex‑Servicemen as per Government of India directives.

Candidates claiming reservation must upload a valid caste/category certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure‑I / II / III).
Selection Process, Medical Fitness & Placement
- Online Computer Based Test (CBT): Objective type questions covering domain knowledge, reasoning, numerical ability, and general awareness. Duration: 2 hours. Negative marking: 1/3 per wrong answer.
- Skill Test / Trade Test: For technical posts (Operator, Technician, Foreman), qualifying in nature.
- Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted after CBT / skill test will be called for verification of original documents.
- Medical Examination: Candidates must meet the medical fitness standards prescribed by NALCO. Color blindness, flat foot, and other conditions may lead to disqualification for certain posts.
- Final Merit List: Based on CBT score and skill test (if applicable). Placement is generally at NALCO's units in Odisha (Angul, Damanjodi) but candidates may be posted anywhere in India as per the company's requirement.

How to Apply – Online Application Process
- Read Notification: Download the detailed advertisement from the link provided. Verify eligibility, age limit, and other conditions.
- Visit Official Portal: Go to NALCO Recruitment Portal.
- New Registration: Click on “New User / Register” for the relevant advertisement (Advt. No. 10260213). Fill in your name, email, mobile number, and date of birth. You will receive a registration ID and password.
- Login & Fill Form: Log in using the credentials. Complete the application form with personal details, educational qualifications, experience, and choice of post. Select your category carefully.
- Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of photograph (20‑50 KB, JPEG), signature (10‑20 KB, JPEG), and other documents as per the specification (PDF, max 200 KB each). Ensure all files are legible.
- Payment of Fees: Pay the applicable fee through the online payment gateway (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI). Save the payment transaction ID for future reference.
- Review & Submit: Preview the entire application form. Check all entries. If any correction is required, edit before final submission. Once satisfied, click “Submit”.
- Print Confirmation: After successful submission, the system will generate a confirmation page. Download and print this page. It contains the registration number and payment details. Keep it safe for document verification.
Instructions to the Candidates
