📈 Career Growth & Promotion Path:
- Initial 2 Years: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - ₹37,000 + HRA
- After 2 Years (Performance-based): Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - ₹42,000 + HRA (as per DRDO rules)
- Total Tenure: Up to 5 years (2 years as JRF + 3 years as SRF)
- PhD Registration: JRF/SRF may register for part-time PhD with approval

This is a temporary fellowship and does NOT confer any right for absorption in DRDO. The fellowship may be terminated with one month's notice. Fellows may resign with one month's notice.
🎓 Educational Qualification & Eligibility
Essential Qualifications (Any ONE):
- Option A: Graduate degree in professional course (B.E/B.Tech) in First Division with NET/GATE qualification
- Option B: Post Graduate degree in professional course (M.E/M.Tech) in First Division both at Graduate & Post Graduate level
- Option C: Post graduate degree in Basic Science in First Division with NET Qualification
Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
- Technical Skills: Strong fundamentals in problem solving, algorithm design, complexity analysis
- Programming: Expert in at least one major language (Python, Java, C++ or similar)
- AI/ML Knowledge: Classical AI algorithms, Machine Learning, Deep Learning techniques
- Software Libraries: Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, TensorRT, PyTorchMobile
- Specialization (Any ONE):
- Speech & Language Technology (Speech recognition, NLP, Machine Translation)
- 3D Vision & Simultaneous Mapping and Localization (SLAM), ROS
- Computer Vision including Generative Models
- Reinforcement Learning
Age Limit & Relaxation:
- Maximum Age: 28 years as on interview date
- SC/ST Candidates: 5 years relaxation (up to 33 years)
- OBC Candidates: 3 years relaxation (up to 31 years)

Selection Process (Two Stages):
- Stage 1: Shortlisting based on GATE score OR percentage of marks in qualifying degree
- Stage 2: Personal Interview (Face-to-face OR Online Video Conferencing)
- Final Selection: Based on combined performance in both stages
Interview Details:
- Format: Personal interview (In-person at Bengaluru OR through Video Conferencing)
- Decision Authority: Director, DYSL-AI will decide interview mode
- Communication: Interview details sent via speed post/email to shortlisted candidates
- Documents Required: Original certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), NOC (if serving), 2 passport photos
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance for attending interview
- Fellowship award is NOT a right - entirely at discretion of Selection Committee
- DYSL-AI reserves right to increase/decrease/cancel vacancies
- Previously awarded JRF in any DRDO lab NOT eligible to apply again
- Decision of Selection Committee is final and binding
