Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in health sector (public health programs or health systems strengthening)

📋 Key Responsibilities & Job Profile
The Senior Consultant will provide technical and managerial support to the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) program at the central level. Key responsibilities include:
Technical Assistance & Programme Support:
- Provide expert advice on planning, implementation & monitoring of NUHM activities
- Provide technical assistance to States/Urban Local Bodies for strengthening urban health systems
- Analyze strengths & gaps in NUHM implementation and refine strategies
- Provide inputs on Urban Health components of State Programme Implementation Plans (PIPs)
- Liaise with government officials, development partners & organizations
Monitoring, Review & Field Support:
- Conduct periodic monitoring visits to states, prepare reports & follow up on recommendations
- Undertake supportive supervision and concurrent monitoring initiatives
Data Analysis, Documentation & Reporting:
- Analyze complex health data sets (HMIS, NFHS, U-WIN) to identify trends & challenges
- Prepare evidence-based reports, policy briefs & presentations for Ministry of Health
- Develop & manage databases and monitoring frameworks using MS Excel
- Create official documents, manage data & develop presentations using MS Office suite
