Sports Trials
Performance-based evaluation by expert panel. Marked out of 40 (minimum qualifying mark: 25)
Certificate Verification
Verification of sports achievements (max 50 marks), educational qualification (10 marks), and documents authenticity
Merit List & Appointment
Final merit list prepared. Selected candidates proceed for pre-appointment formalities and medical fitness test
Note: If multiple candidates score same marks in a discipline, preference given to younger candidate (by age).

📌 Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 25 years (as on 01.01.2026)
- Date of Birth: Not earlier than 02.01.2001 and not later than 01.01.2008
- Age Relaxation: NO age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates
📚 Educational Qualification (Compulsory):
- Level-4/5 Posts: University Degree or equivalent from recognized institution
- Level-2/3 Posts: 12th Pass (Plus-II stage) from govt. recognized Board/Council
- Level-1 Posts: 10th Pass OR ITI OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from NCVT
- Important: NO relaxation in minimum educational qualification. Must upload certificates while applying.

- Represented country in Olympic Games (Senior) OR
- 3rd position or better in World Cup / World Championships / Asian Games / Commonwealth Games (any category)
Level-2/3 Eligibility:
- Represented country in World Cup / World Championships / Asian Games / Commonwealth Games OR
- 3rd position in Commonwealth / Asian Championships / SAF Games / USIC Championships OR
- 3rd position in National / Youth / Junior National Championships OR
- 3rd position in National Games (IOA organized) OR
- 3rd position in All India Inter University Championship

- Represented State in Sr. National Championship (8th position or better) OR

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: Is there a written test?
A: NO written test. Selection is entirely based on sports trials, sports achievement verification, and educational qualification. Merit-based selection only.
Q2: Can I apply if I'm above 25 years?
A: No. Age limit is strictly 18-25 years as on 01.01.2026. NO age relaxation for any category including SC/ST/OBC.
Q3: What if I have sports achievement from before April 2023?
A: NOT eligible. Sports achievements must be earned on or after 01.04.2023. Earlier achievements won't be considered.
Q4: Is this permanent job or contractual?
A: This is DIRECT RECRUITMENT for permanent government position with South Eastern Railway. NOT contractual or deputation.
Q5: Can I apply for multiple disciplines?
A: NO. Candidates must apply for ONE discipline only. Application can be submitted only once per person.
Q6: What is the selection process if I qualify sports trials?
A: After trials, Certificate Verification committee will verify sports achievements, educational documents, and other credentials. Final merit list based on total score (Sports Achievement 50 + Trials 40 + Education 10 = 100 marks).
Q7: Will I get travel reimbursement for trials?
A: SC/ST candidates are eligible for FREE rail travel (2nd class) to trials. Other candidates bear their own travel costs. No accommodation provided.
Q8: What documents to bring on trial date?
A: MUST bring: (1) Original photo ID with E-Call Letter (2) Original Age Certificate/Matriculation (3) Original Educational Qualification Certificate (4) Original Sports Achievement Certificate (5) Passport-size photos (6 copies). Without originals, you won't be allowed to participate in trials.
Q9: Can I apply if I'm working in Govt./PSU/Railway?
A: YES, but you MUST submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your current employer. Without NOC, candidature may be rejected.
Q10: What if my name spelling is different in documents?
A: ALL names/spellings must match exactly with Matriculation certificate. If significant deviation found in any document, candidature will be cancelled without notice or claim.
