Eligibility Criteria & Pay Scales
Educational Qualification: Full-time Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university/institution.
Experience: SSE (Diesel Electrical) with minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance of ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives of Indian Railways or Railway PSUs.
Age Limit: Up to 55 years for immediate absorption, up to 57 years for deputation as on the last date.
Designation Mapping:
- Senior Manager: Junior Scale / Group-B officers (Level 8 to 10) or SSEs in Level 8 (MACP, GP 4800)
- Manager: SSEs in Level 7 of 7th CPC
- Assistant Manager: JE/SSE with relevant experience
💰 Pay: Parent pay plus deputation allowance, foreign allowance (if applicable), and other perks as admissible on deputation. Company-leased accommodation provided.[reference:0]
Step-by-Step Application Guide
- Online Registration: Visit www.rites.com → Career Section. Complete the online registration form. The system will generate a Registration Number – save this carefully.
- Print & Sign: Print the online application form containing the registration number. Sign it and attach the prescribed proforma along with a detailed CV.
- Prepare Documents: Collect self-attested copies of APARs (last 5 years), Vigilance/DAR clearance, No Objection Certificate, and service records.
- Forward Through Proper Channel: Submit the complete application through your respective Administrative Officer / HoD for forwarding.
- Send Advance Copy by Email: Email a scanned PDF of the signed application and CV to kapil.soni3@rites.com at the earliest for record purposes.
- Hard Copy Dispatch: The forwarding authority must send the complete application to RITES Ltd., Shikhar, Plot No. 1, Sector-29, Gurugram, within 45 days from the date of the circular.
- Confirmation: Retain the email receipt and postal dispatch proof for future reference.
Application Fee: Nil for deputation posts.
Documents Checklist: APARs (5 years), Vigilance Clearance, DAR records, No Objection Certificate, Detailed CV, Signed online application form with Registration Number.
Selection Process (100 Marks Weighted System)

Salary, Promotion & Benefits
- Pay Scale: Level 6 to Level 10 (7th CPC Pay Matrix) – approximately ₹30,000 to ₹80,000 per month.[reference:2]
- Deputation Allowance: Parent pay plus standard deputation allowance.
- Foreign Allowance: Additional allowance if posted at international project sites.
- Accommodation: Company-leased accommodation provided as per entitlement.
- Other Perks: DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, Medical facilities, Leave encashment as per RITES rules.
- Promotion: Deputationists may be considered for higher grades based on performance and organizational requirements.
- Job Security: 3-year tenure with possibility of extension. Permanent absorption option available subject to government approvals.
