Northeast Frontier Railway, one of the 17 zones of Indian Railways, invites online applications from eligible Indian sportspersons having outstanding achievements in Archery, Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Boxing, Cricket, Football, Golf, Kabaddi, Power Lifting, Table Tennis, Volleyball & Weightlifting. Appointments will be made in Pay Level-1 (Group D) and Level-2/3 (Group C) with all railway perks.

Selection Process – Step by Step
✅ Selection is based on sports performance in the trials; no written examination.
- Online Application: Submit form with sports achievements details at nfr-recruitment.in.
- Trial Date Intimation: Shortlisted candidates will be called for trial via call letter/SMS.
- Sports Trials: Actual demonstration of skills in the respective discipline. Marks will be allotted based on level of achievement (National/State etc.)
- Document Verification: Original certificates of age, education, sports, caste etc. will be verified.
- Medical Fitness: Selected candidates undergo railway medical examination.
- Final Merit List: Based on combined marks of sports achievement and trial performance, category-wise.
- Appointment Letter: Offer of permanent appointment to successful candidates.

⚠️ All documents must be self-attested. Originals will be verified at the time of trial/medical.
🔍 Who signs the caste certificate?
Caste certificate must be signed by Tehsildar, Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO), Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), or Revenue Officer not below the rank of Naib Tehsildar. Self-declaration or certificates signed by village head are not valid.
📌 Can final year / awaiting result students apply?
No. Candidates must have passed the required educational qualification (10th or 12th) on or before the closing date of application. Result-awaiting candidates are not eligible.
