🔬 Detailed Job Description & Responsibilities
Project: Soft Condensed Matter Group
Principal Investigator: Prof. Sayantan Majumdar
Key Responsibilities:
- Large scale synthesis, characterization, fluorescent labeling of different types of colloidal particles
- Polymerization, characterization, and fluorescent labeling of biopolymer networks
- Designing electronic circuits and interfacing
- Setting up in-situ imaging with shear rheometry under an externally applied vibration in the Soft and Adaptive Materials (SAM) Lab at RRI
- Working with cutting-edge scientific equipment and mastering new techniques
- Documenting research findings and maintaining laboratory records
- Collaborating with research team members and contributing to research publications

Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. (Master of Science) in any relevant field OR

- With some exposure to soft condensed matter research
Desirable Qualifications (Preferred):
- Experimental work experience in a lab exploring biopolymers, surfactant and colloidal systems
- Experience in synthesis of large-scale colloidal particles
- Familiarity with bright field, fluorescence and confocal microscopy
- Working experience of designing small electronic circuits
- Proficiency with programming languages (like Matlab, Python etc.)
