✅ Eligibility Conditions
🎓 Educational Qualification
- Must have passed 10+2 Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized board.
- Minimum 70% aggregate marks in PCM and at least 50% in English in either 10th or 12th.
- Candidates who have appeared for JEE Main 2026 and are awaiting results may also apply.
- Final year appearing candidates in 2026 are eligible, provided they submit proof of passing at SSB stage.
🎂 Age Limit (as on Course Commencement)
- Candidate must have been born between 02 January 2007 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive).
- No age relaxation is permissible except for statutory relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per extant government orders.
👤 Marital Status & Gender
- Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible.
- Candidates must not marry during the training period.
🏥 Physical & Medical Standards
- Candidates must be physically and mentally fit as per Indian Navy medical standards.
- Minimum height: 157 cm for males, 152 cm for females (relaxable for certain regions).
- Eye sight: 6/6 in better eye, 6/9 in worse eye (correctable to 6/6).
- Tattoos: Permitted only as per Indian Navy policy.
⚖️ Terms & Conditions of 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry
- Type of Commission: Permanent Commission (PC) – Officers will serve till retirement age in the Indian Navy.
- Training: Selected candidates will undergo 4-year B.Tech course at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. Degree awarded by JNU, New Delhi.
- Stipend & Pay: During 4-year training, cadets will receive ₹56,100 per month. On successful commissioning, they will be placed in Level 10 of the 7th CPC pay matrix (₹56,100 – 1,77,500) plus Military Service Pay of ₹15,500 and other allowances.
- Promotion Growth: After commissioning as Sub Lieutenant, officers progress through Lieutenant, Lieutenant Commander, Commander, Captain, Commodore, and Flag ranks based on performance and tenure.
- Benefits & Allowances: Free accommodation, medical cover for self and family, LTC, Canteen facilities, pension under NPS, insurance cover of ₹1 Crore, and 60 days annual leave.
- Bond/Service Agreement: No upfront bond. Officers are required to serve a minimum period of 10 years from the date of commissioning, failing which they must refund the training cost.
- Discipline & Rules: Cadets are subject to the Navy Act, 1957. Any misconduct during training may lead to discharge/withdrawal.
- All India Service Liability: Post-commissioning, officers can be posted anywhere in India and onboard ships/submarines.
- Merit List: Final selection is based on SSB marks and medical fitness. No correspondence will be entertained regarding merit listing.

- Visit Official Navy Website: Go to www.joinindiannavy.gov.in and locate “10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry – Jan 2027” under Apply Online.
- New Registration: Click “New Registration” and provide basic details (email, mobile) to generate login credentials.
- Login & Fill Form: Login and complete the application form with personal, educational, and contact details. Choose SSB centre preference.
- Upload Documents: Scanned copies of recent photograph, signature, 10th and 12th mark sheets, JEE Main 2026 scorecard (if available), and other required certificates.
- Review & Submit: Double-check all entries. There is no application fee. Submit the form online.
- Print Application: Take a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
- SSB Call-Up: Shortlisted candidates will be informed about SSB interview date via SMS/Email and on the portal.
- Keep Documents Ready: Original 10th/12th mark sheets, date of birth proof, caste certificate (if applicable), NCC certificate (if any), and 12 passport-size photographs.
