🎓 Essential Qualifications (Concise)
For Associate Professor:
- Ph.D. in relevant discipline with First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
- Minimum 8 years teaching/research/industry experience, with at least 2 years post-Ph.D.
- At least 6 research publications in Scopus/SCI/UGC-CARE/AICTE journals.
- Minimum total research score of 75 (as per G.O. Ms.No.14).
- For Architecture: B.Arch + M.Arch with 60% & 8 years experience (or 13 years professional).
For Professor:
- Ph.D. in relevant field + First Class at UG/PG level.
- Minimum 10 years experience, with at least 3 years at Associate Professor level.
- At least 6 research publications (at Assoc. Prof. level) in SCI/UGC journals & 2 Ph.D. guided (or 10 publications).
- Minimum total research score of 120.
- Architecture: B.Arch + M.Arch with 60% & 14 years experience (or 19 years professional).
💰 Salary, Benefits & Promotion Growth
Professor: Academic Level 14 – ₹1,44,200 – 2,18,200
Associate Professor: Academic Level 13A – ₹1,31,400 – 2,17,100

✅ NO WRITTEN TEST for Associate Professor and Professor posts. Selection is based on academic/research score validation followed by interview.
- Eligibility Screening by Departmental Committee.
- Screening-cum-Evaluation Committee (SEC) validates academic/research score as per Appendix (max 50% weightage).
- Shortlisting in 4:1 ratio for interview based on score.
- Interview (100 marks): Lecture demo (25), interdisciplinary awareness (15), domain knowledge (35), research competence (25).
- Final merit: 50% academic/research score + 50% interview performance. Recommended list & waitlist prepared.

No. As per the notification, the written test conducted by APPSC does not apply to Associate Professor and Professor posts. Selection is through academic/research score validation and interview.
What is the required research score?
Associate Professor: minimum total research score of 75. Professor: minimum total research score of 120. Scores are calculated per the detailed table in the official notification.
Can I apply for multiple departments?
Yes, you can apply for multiple posts. A separate application and fee must be submitted for each post.
Is experience after Ph.D. compulsory?
Yes. For Associate Professor, at least 2 years must be post-Ph.D. For Professor, 3 years at Associate Professor level is required.
What is the application fee?
₹3,000 for all Indian nationals (no category-wise concession for these senior posts). OCI candidates pay USD 100 (Assoc. Prof.) or USD 150 (Professor).
