Selection Process
Scientist-Engineer: Written Test (50%) + Interview (50%) - Merit List
Technical/Technician: Written Test + Skill Test (go-no-go) - Merit List
- Scientist-Engineer (SC) Posts 01-06: Written test (Part A: 50 MCQ, Part B: 15 MCQ, Part C: Descriptive) 100 marks + Interview 100 marks; Pass: 50% in each part & 60% aggregate
- Scientist-Engineer (SC) Posts 07-16: Written test 100 marks + Interview 100 marks; Pass: 50% in each part & 60% aggregate
- Technical/Technician Posts: Written test (80 MCQ, 1.5 hrs, 1-0.33 mark per Q) 100 marks + Skill Test (go-no-go, no marks counted)
- Skill Test: Shortlist in 1:15 ratio (min 10 candidates) based on written marks
- Preliminary Medical Exam (PME): Mandatory at application stage (valid 6 months)
- Final Selection: Based on written test merit from candidates qualifying skill test/interview
- Tie-breaker: Academic score of essential qualification, then age (senior candidate ranked higher)
