Role Overview

As a Business Correspondent (BC) Coordinator at Bank of Baroda, you'll be the crucial link between the bank and its network of BC Agents in the field. Your primary mission is to ensure last-mile banking services reach every corner of your assigned district, driving financial inclusion and supporting India's banking penetration goals.

Key Job Responsibilities

The BC Coordinator plays a multi-faceted role with 26 distinct responsibilities as outlined in the official notification. Here are the key areas:

Monitor BC agents, ensure they remain active, and visit allocated villages/BC points at least once a month. Submit detailed reports to regional management.

Achieve targets for PMJDY accounts, PMSBY/PMJJBY insurance policies, deposit mobilization, and cross-selling of bank products through BC agents.

Ensure timely resolution of customer/BC grievances and submit feedback to link branches with copies to Regional Office.

Coordinate with link branches, Regional Office, and Corporate BCs. Perform quarterly cash verification with BCs and submit reports.

Your performance is measured monthly on a 60-point scoring matrix including: Active BC agents (≥90%), PMJDY accounts opened (≥175/month), Deposit growth (≥2%), Insurance enrollments, and Customer satisfaction index.

Eligibility Criteria

This recruitment is open to two distinct candidate profiles:

For Retired Bank Employees

  • Retired officers (up to Chief Manager rank) from any bank (PSU/RRB/Private/Co-operative)
  • Retired clerks from Bank of Baroda with JAIIB certification
  • Minimum 3 years of rural banking experience
  • Maximum age for continuation: 65 years

For Young Candidates

  • Must be a Graduate with computer knowledge (MS Office, email, Internet)
  • Preference: M.Sc. (IT), BE (IT), MCA, MBA
  • Age: 21 to 45 years at appointment
  • Maximum age for continuation: 65 years

Common & Critical Eligibility for All

  • Residency: Must be resident of Mumbai or adjoining districts. Candidates from other states are NOT eligible.
