Salary & Remuneration

- Indicative Nature: Remuneration mentioned above is only indicative. Actual salary depends on place of posting and other terms & conditions of appointment.
- Additional Allowances: All applicable allowances as per RITES rules and Government of India norms will be provided.
- Medical Fitness: Engagement subject to passing medical examination as per RITES standards and guidelines.
- Contract Basis: Initial appointment for 1 year, extendable based on project requirement and satisfactory performance.
Selection Process
Stages of Selection
- Stage 1 - Written Test (11 January 2026): 125 objective type questions (2.5 hours duration, 1 mark each). No negative marking. Minimum 50% marks for General/EWS (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) required to qualify. PwBD candidates get 50 minutes extra time.
- Stage 2 - Personal Interview: Candidates called for interview in ratio of 1:6 to vacancies. Assessment of technical knowledge (30%), personality & communication skills (10%), and professional competency (required to score 60% for General/EWS, 50% for reserved categories).
- Stage 3 - Document Verification: Original documents produced. Experience certificates verified. Any discrepancies lead to rejection.
- Stage 4 - Medical Examination: Successful candidates must pass medical fitness examination as per RITES standards.
- Final Merit: Overall merit based on Written Test (60%) + Interview (40%). No minimum aggregate marks required.

Online Application Process
Step 1: Register on RITES Portal
- Visit the official RITES website
- Go to Career section and find the recruitment notification
- Click on "Apply Online" link for your desired position
- Create a new account or login if already registered
Step 2: Fill Online Application Form
- Fill all personal details: Full name, DOB, email, phone, address
- Choose ONE vacancy code (VC No.) for ONE discipline in ONE region only
- Enter educational qualifications: 10th, 12th, Graduation, Post-Graduation (as applicable)
- Provide percentage/CGPA with conversion formula (if applicable)
- Mention complete work experience with dates, designation, organization, responsibilities
- Specify category: General/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD (as applicable)
- Choose two test centers as preference (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Bhilai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Lucknow)
- Review all details carefully before proceeding to document upload
Step 3: Upload Required Documents
- High school certificate (proof of date of birth)
- Certificates and mark sheets of all qualifications (10th, 12th, Diploma/Graduation/Post-Graduation, etc.)
- CGPA to percentage conversion formula (if marks not directly shown)
- Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC-NCL (as applicable, in prescribed format)
- EWS Income-Asset Certificate (for EWS candidates, FY 2025-26)
- PwBD Certificate in latest Government format (if applicable)
- Proof of identity (Aadhar, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License)
- PAN Card

Step 4: Payment of Application Fee
- General/OBC Candidates: ₹600 + applicable taxes
- EWS/SC/ST/PwBD Candidates: ₹300 + applicable taxes
- Fee refund for SC/ST/PwBD candidates upon participation in written exam/interview after certificate verification
- Payment through online portal only (not through any other mode)
- Download and save payment invoice for records
Step 5: Submit & Download Confirmation
- System generates a Registration Number upon successful submission
- Note down this Registration Number for all future correspondence
- Download and print the submitted application form
- Keep printed copy with self-attested photocopies of documents
- Carry application form and documents to test center on exam day
