The CTO will be responsible for leading technology strategy, digital initiatives, and innovation across the organization.
📌 Position Details, Eligibility & Role Overview
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Fixed Tenure Contract
Essential Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or related fields from a recognized university/institution.
- Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Management (MBA/PGDM) with specialization in Systems/IT/Operations will be preferred.
- Additional professional certifications in IT governance, cybersecurity, or project management will be an advantage.
Essential Professional Experience
- Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience in Information Technology domain.
- At least 05 years of experience at senior leadership level (Head of IT/CTO/CIO or equivalent) in large organizations.
- Proven track record in leading digital transformation, IT strategy formulation, and implementation in complex organizational environments.
- Experience in managing large-scale IT projects, ERP implementations, cybersecurity frameworks, and cloud migrations.
Desirable Experience & Skills
- Experience in Government/PSU/Central Public Sector Enterprises in similar capacity.
- Exposure to fertilizer/chemical/manufacturing industry technology requirements.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies like AI/ML, IoT, Blockchain, and their applications in industrial settings.
- Experience in handling IT audits, compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks.

Role & Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Formulate and implement comprehensive IT strategy aligned with FCRI India's business objectives.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across the organization to enhance operational efficiency and business performance.
- Provide technology vision and leadership in developing and implementing IT initiatives.
IT Infrastructure & Operations Management
- Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure including data centers, networks, and cloud services.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of IT systems and services.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and service level agreements.
Digital Innovation & Emerging Technologies
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies like AI, IoT, Blockchain, and Data Analytics.
- Lead innovation labs/POCs to explore new technology solutions for business challenges.
- Promote digital culture and upskilling of workforce in digital technologies.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity framework and policies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data protection laws.
- Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Project Management & Governance
- Oversee large-scale IT projects from conception to implementation.
- Establish IT governance framework and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Monitor and report on IT performance metrics and KPIs.

Contract Finalization
On successful document verification, the appointment will be formalized through a fixed tenure contract with terms and conditions as per FCRI India policy.
